Those of you that know me in real life or follow me in the cyber one know my vocational troubles in the last couple years.
When I decided to switch focus from screenwriting to music supervision, I was often asked either in interviews or conversations, why? My answer was always the same, “I believe music conveys emotion better than any other medium.”
It’s hard to find gigs that require such a specific skill as pairing the right song to the right moment/emotion/feeling. Up until recently, I believed music supervision was really the only job that capitalized on that adeptness.
Then lightning struck, I won the fucking lottery, and landed a gig at Beats Music. This is our message. The same one I’ve been preaching even before I could articulate it.
